COURSE DESCRIPTION

Learn how to manage business finances using Xero, one of the most widely used cloud-based accounting systems. This course provides practical skills in recording transactions, reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records.

This course also offers a pathway to FNS30322 Certificate III in Accounts Administration, allowing you to further develop your accounting and bookkeeping skills.

UNITS OF COMPETENCY
  • FNSACC314 – Conduct business activities using a computerised accounting system (Xero)
  • FNSACM312 – Reconcile financial transactions
  • BSBINS309 – Maintain business records

LEARNING OUTCOME
  • Use Xero to manage business financial transactions
  • Reconcile accounts and financial records
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date business records
  • Apply basic accounting processes in a workplace context

DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT

Training is delivered face-to-face in a classroom environment at Western Sydney Skills Hub, North Parramatta. Assessments include knowledge questions and practical, hands-on activities using Xero. You will be supported by qualified trainers throughout the course.

REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements. However, you should have basic language, literacy, numeracy and computer skills to complete assessments. Access to a computer and internet is required for learning and assessment tasks. Learning resources will be provided.

GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY

You may be eligible for FEE-FREE* training under the Adult and Community Education (ACE) program.
