COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for individuals who want to work as a Teacher’s Aide in a school or education setting. It provides the foundational skills and knowledge needed to support teachers and students in the classroom and during activities.
This micro-credential course is an introduction to CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support. On successful completion, students will receive a Statement of Attainment.

LEARNING OUTCOME
Students will learn how to:
- Support students and educators in a classroom environment

- Identify and report children and young people at risk
- Follow legal, ethical, and workplace health and safety requirements
DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT
Training is delivered face-to-face at Western Sydney Skills Hub, North Parramatta.
Assessments include practical activities, knowledge questions, case studies, projects, and observations. Students will be supported by qualified trainers throughout the course.
REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal entry requirements. However, students should have basic language, literacy, numeracy, and computer skills to complete assessments.
Access to a computer and internet is required for learning and assessment tasks. Learning resources will be provided.
PATHWAY INFORMATION
This course provides a pathway to CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)
If you already have relevant work experience or prior training, you may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer. Please contact the college before enrolling to discuss your options.
GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY
A NSW Government subsidy may be available for eligible students under the Adult and Community Education (ACE) program.
