COURSE DESCRIPTION

Looking to start a career in office administration or build your existing admin skills? This short course provides practical training in customer service, workplace communication, digital tools, and schedule management.

Administrative professionals are essential in many workplaces, and this course will help you develop the core skills needed to support daily business operations.

After completing this micro-credential, you may choose to continue your studies with:

  • BSB30120 Certificate III in Business (Business Administration)
  • BSB30120 Certificate III in Business (Medical Administration)

Credit transfers may be available for completed units.

UNITS OF COMPETENCY
  • BSBTEC202 Use digital technologies to communicate in a work environment
  • BSBCMM211 Apply communication skills
  • BSBOPS304 Deliver and monitor a service to customers
  • BSBOPS303 Organise schedules

COURSE DELIVERY
  • Location: Western Sydney Skills Hub, North Parramatta
  • Delivery mode: Face-to-face classroom training
  • Duration: 6 weeks (2 days per week)
  • Additional study: Approximately 10 hours of home study per week
  • Training is delivered by qualified and experienced trainers

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Students should have adequate language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) skills to successfully complete the course. Please contact us if you require additional support.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

If you already have relevant work experience or prior training, you may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer. Please contact the college before enrolling to discuss your options.

GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY

A NSW Government subsidy may be available for eligible students under the Adult and Community Education (ACE) program.
