CHCPRT025 – Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk is a nationally recognised unit designed for individuals who work or volunteer in environments where they have contact with children and young people.
This course develops the skills and knowledge required to identify children and young people who may be at risk of harm and respond appropriately in accordance with relevant legislation, workplace procedures and duty of care requirements. Participants will learn about recognising indicators of risk, responding appropriately to concerns, and following workplace and reporting procedures.
This unit meets relevant requirements under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and may be required by employers and organisations to support staff in understanding their responsibilities when working with children and young people.

You must be working or volunteering in a workplace that is accessed by children or young people in order to complete the practical assessment requirements for this unit.
It is your responsibility to ensure they have access to an appropriate workplace or volunteer environment to complete the required practical tasks.

Please note that assessments may require additional work outside scheduled class hours.
You are permitted a maximum of two assessment attempts for each unit. If you are assessed as Not Yet Competent (NYC) after the second attempt, a gap tutorial may be available at an additional cost.

Upon successful completion of all required assessments, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for CHCPRT025 – Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk, a unit of competency from the CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support.
