COURSE DESCRIPTION

Start your sewing journey this season and learn how to create garments in styles you love. This beginner-friendly course is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of dressmaking in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Students will begin by making a skirt while learning essential skills such as how to select and purchase a sewing pattern, choose suitable fabrics and construct a garment from start to finish. Your tutor will provide guidance on pattern selection and fabric choices during the first session to help you get started with confidence.

You will also learn how to safely and correctly use a sewing machine, with a focus on basic techniques using non-stretch fabrics. Continuing students are welcome to develop their own projects at their own pace, with full support and guidance from the tutor throughout the course.
